El Conjunto Media Luna es oriundo de Bogotá. Reune a varios jóvenes músicos imaginarios que se encuentran en las tardes de pandemia para tocar cumbias sabaneras en ensayos clandestinos que a veces terminan en fugaces parrandas que deben acabar antes de la media noche para evitar problemas con la policía durante el toque de queda que rige la ciudad.

Su tema debut es una sencilla oda a la incertidumbre; un homenaje a la dicha de poder bailar cumbia (así sea imaginariamente) en estos tiempos tan inciertos.

Hailing from Bogotá, Conjunto Media Luna are, mysteriously, the project of a group of imaginary Colombians who have been getting together during pandemic afternoons to play traditional cumbia sabanera. These rehearsals would often turn into parties that had to end before a midnight curfew to make sure the police would not have to get involved.

Their debut single is “Cumbia Providencia”, an instrumental ode to uncertainly, and a homage to these strange times, imploring everyone to dance if they want to. The flip-side finds the tune slowed down to a crawl, sonidero style, for an even more ominous groove.
